The Hearing Process

In the case of large facilities application, CER's work begins when a company files a Project Notification. Applicants (who plan to file applications) can request a pre-application meeting with our staff to gain a better understanding of the application processes and regulatory requirements. There is also the Early Engagement Guide and Filing Manual to help interested parties understand the application process.

The CER engages the public, including Aboriginal groups, who may be impacted by the project. CER Process Advisors are available to support participants in hearing processes, and to go to communities in some cases to provide information on the process and the Participant Funding Program.
