Audit Report - Plains Midstream Canada ULC

We audited Plains Midstream Canada on its facility integrity management program. We found issues that are not in compliance with our Onshore Pipeline Regulations.

What if they don’t fix the issues?

Our auditors will be following up with the company to make sure it addresses any issues. If not, we have other tools in our toolbox to ensure companies are doing what they are supposed to do to protect people, property and the environment.

Why are audits important?

We audit six companies every year. We review the overall management system and one of the protection programs (in this case, integrity management) to make sure the company is following the rules in the OPR. We use audits to spot an issue before it becomes a hazard or potential incident. Our audits involve document reviews, interviews, record sampling and site visits. Our dedicated audit team goes through mountains of information to ensure companies are following our rules.
