CER amends order issued to Trans Mountain in relation to worksite fatality

The Canada Energy Regulator (CER) has issued an amendment to the Inspection Officer Order issued to Trans Mountain regarding the use of trench boxes and contractor oversight in relation to an October 27, 2020, worker fatality at a worksite near Edmonton, Alberta.
The amended order, which takes immediate effect, extends the deadline for Trans Mountain to submit its final investigation report and clarifies CER expectations of the corrective measures Trans Mountain must meet. The amended order is available on the CER’s website.
