Orders
The Canadian Energy Regulator Act (CER Act) changes power line damage prevention provisions that were previously found in the National Energy Board Act (NEB Act). As a result, the Power Line Crossing Regulations that were made under the NEB Act which provide the process for safely conducting specified activities near international power lines needed to be changed. The regulatory development process is now complete and the Power Line Crossing Regulations have been repealed. Two interim Commission Orders providing for these safety requirements are revoked.
