Westcoast Energy Inc. – Trutch Creek Horizonal Directional Drill (HDD) Pipe Replacement Project

Project Background

Westcoast Energy Inc. (Westcoast) has filed a project application for the Trutch Creek Horizonal Directional Drill (HDD) Pipe Replacement Project. This project involves the replacement of approximately 1400 meters (m) of pipeline, including tie ins, of the Fort Nelson Mainline by means of HDD. Upon successful tie in of the replacement pipeline, 1400m of the existing pipeline will be decommissioned in place. This project is being completed to mitigate any integrity concerns caused by active geotechnical hazards in the area.
