Project Background

Enbridge Pipelines Inc. (Enbridge), has filed an application for the Line 93 Optimization Project. The proposed project involves installing drag reducing agent (DRA) skids at various locations including Hardisty Terminal, Cactus Lake, West Milden Station, Loreburn Station, Bethune Station, Glenavon Station, Langbank Station, Cromer Terminal, West Souris Station and Glenboro Station.

The proposed installation of the DRA skids and the facilities work will allow for the increase in pipeline capacity from 760 thousand barrels per day to 837 thousand barrels per day and increased throughput on Line 93 but will not increase the approved maximum operating pressure.

Project construction is planned to commence in October 2026, with an expected project-in-service date in October 2027.
