Project Background

Pouce Coupé Pipe Line Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pembina Pipeline Corporation and the general partner of Pembina North Limited Partnership, has filed an application for the NPS 10 Kiskatinaw River Replacement Project. The proposed project involves the replacement of approximately 2600 m of the NPS 10 Taylor to Gordondale pipeline within Pouce Coupé’s Northern System under the Kiskatinaw River through horizontal directional drill activities and associated tie-ins. These activities will include staging and welding of pipe, drilling and reaming the pilot hole, and pulling the new pipe through the successful pilot hole. Tie-in to the existing pipe is expected to be completed through excavating and isolating the tie-in locations, while the pipeline is still in service through hot tapping processes and completing the required tie-in welds. Upon successful completion and tie-in of the new NPS 10 pipe, Pouce Coupé will decommission approximately 2600 m of existing NPS 10 pipe in place. The decommissioned pipe will be cut, purged, and capped. The project runs from 06-35-80-16-W6M to 07-03-81-16-W6M, approximately 22 km north of Dawson Creek in northeastern British Columbia

Project construction is planned to commence on 15 April 2026, with an expected project-in-service date in August 2026.
