Niagara Gas Transmission Limited - Rockcliffe Control Station Relocation Project
Project Background
Niagara Gas Transmission Limited has filed a project notification for the Rockcliffe Control Station Relocation Project (Project).
The Project will consist of constructing a new control station approximately 190 m southeast from the current station, in a location more suited for its continued safe and reliable operation. This will require the installation of approximately 350 m of NPS 16 outlet pipeline, inlet and outlet valves at the new station, a regulator building with regulator equipment, a remote terminal unit building to house the communication equipment and fencing around the new station site. The current station and all above-ground components from the site will be removed, while approximately 9 m of the existing NPS 12 inlet pipeline and approximately 38 m of existing NPS 12 outlet pipeline will be decommissioned in place.
The Project will be located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario, mainly on federal National Capital Commission land, with a small portion located on private land. Project construction is anticipated to start in Q2 of 2027 for a duration of approximately six months.
