Project Background

On May 31, 2021, NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. (NGTL) filed an application asking the CER to approve its Firm Transportation-Linked North Montney Service. If approved, this new pipeline service would provide linked transportation between receipt points on the NGTL North Montney Mainline and the new Willow Valley Interconnect delivery point. The proposed new Willow Valley Interconnect delivery point will connect the NGTL System to the Coastal GasLink pipeline, and on to the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, BC.

NGTL’s application also includes a request to approve the proposed tolling methodology, rate schedule, and tariff amendments. In its application, NGTL asked the CER to confirm that the North Montney Mainline tolling methodology will be maintained.

Register to Participate

Any person interested in participating in the hearing process must demonstrate the nature of their interest in the Application in a letter to the CER registering to participate and their preferred participation level (intervenor or commenter) no later than noon, Calgary time, on 29 July 2021. All parties who have already submitted comments do not need to file a letter to register their participation as intervenors. However, should they wish to register as commenters instead they may do so by 29 July 2021.
