Description:: The stacked column graph above shows GHG emissions by sector in Canada from 1990 to 2015. Overall, GHG emissions in Canada increased from 611 MT CO2e in 1990 to 722 MT CO2e in 2015, after peaking at 751 MT CO2e in 2004. In 1990 the largest GHG-emitting sector was industries and manufacturing. However since 1993 the oil and gas sector and transportation sector have been the largest emitters.
