Executive Vice President, People, Innovation, and Results – Peter Linkletter

Biographical Snapshot:

  • Mr. Linkletter joined the Canada Energy Regulator in 2021 with extensive experience in functional and operational roles across six federal departments and agencies.
  • He has served as an Assistant Deputy Minister since 2014 in roles at the Correctional Service of Canada (Deputy Commissioner, Prairie Region; ADM Lead, Comprehensive Review; Final-Level Inmate Grievance Decision-Maker; and Special Advisor to the Commissioner); at the Public Health Agency of Canada (Vice-President, Emergency Stockpile Branch); and, as a Member of the Federal Opioid Task Force at Health Canada.
  • He worked as Director General, Real Property, and Director General, Executive Coordination at the Department of National Defence, following over a decade in a variety of roles at the former Public Works and Government Services Canada and at the Treasury Board of Canada, Secretariat.
  • He began his career as a professional rock and roll musician and you would have little indication of this now.

Vice President, People and Workforce Supports and Chief Human Resources Officer – Alexis Williamson

Biographical Snapshot:

  • Ms. Williamson joined the regulator in October 2016, after working with the British Columbia provincial oil and gas regulator.
  • She has over 20 years’ experience working in senior leadership positions both in the private and public sector.
  • Her primary focus of work has been dedicated to strategy and employee engagement, program design, change management, recruitment and hiring, compensation, learning and leadership development, workforce planning and executive coaching.

Vice President, Data and Information Management and Chief Information Officer – Ryan Hum

Biographical Snapshot:

  • Mr. Hum joined the regulator in 2018.
  • His public service career includes work in the departments of Health, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Natural Resources, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
  • He was also a founding member of the Government of Canada's Central Innovation Hub (housed at the Privy Council Office), where he served as Chief Designer and Chief Data Scientist leading the design insights and data analytics practice to improve policy, program and service delivery.
  • He previously taught design, public policy and engineering at Carleton University, OCAD University and the University of Toronto.

Vice President, Performance and Results and Chief Financial Officer – Mark Power

Biographical Snapshot:

  • Mr. Power joined the regulator in December 2017.
  • He was most recently with the Wood Buffalo Recovery Task Force, a municipal organization created to respond to the aftermath of the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire.
  • He has had a long and distinguished career in public service including several roles in the provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador, including oil and gas royalty administration.
  • Originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, he has lived in Alberta for the last 20 years working in senior leadership positions in the oil sands and with oil and gas service companies.
