On 20 September 2013, the Board made available $250,000 under its PFP to facilitate participation in the regulatory process for the Project. Seven eligible applications were received, with a total funding request for $1,036,659.
The Funding Review Committee (FRC), an independent committee established by the Board, reviews all applications for participant funding, and provides recommendations on funding awards. Following a review of the FRC recommendations, the Board’s Executive Vice President, Regulatory, accepted the FRC’s recommendations and approved the following funding awards:
|Fort Nelson First Nation Lands Department||$33,000 plus travel for 3 to hearing|
|Saulteau First Nations||$46,000|
|West Moberly First Nations||$37,000 plus travel for 3 to hearing|
|McLeod Lake Indian Band||$20,000|
|Blueberry River First Nations||$68,000 plus travel for 3 to hearing|
|Prophet River First Nation||$13,550 plus travel for 3 to hearing|
