Compare Provinces and Territories
Compare electricity generation and capacity for each of Canada's provinces and territories.
Choose the data and metric: At the top of the dashboard, select Capacity to view total installed electric generation capacity by year (in megawatts, MW) or select Generation to view electricity produced annually (in megawatt-hours, MWh).
Filter by energy source: On the left-hand side, select one or more energy sources, like hydroelectricity or natural gas, to customize your view. Use Deselect all to clear your selections.
Filter by region: Select one or more provinces and territories to compare regional data. The selected regions will appear side by side for easy comparison. If there are more than two regions selected, scroll down to see all regions.
Explore Further: Right-click on the chart to view the underlying data as a table.
