CER Regulatory Framework
The Canada Energy Regulator (CER) promotes safety and security, environmental protection and efficient energy infrastructure and markets in the Canadian public interest.
The CER implements its mandate through its regulatory framework, which includes applicable Acts, regulations, guidance materials, documents, as well as certificates, orders and other regulatory instruments used to regulate the industry. The CER focuses on continual improvement of its regulatory framework through the Departmental Results Framework.
